BE-100 BEHAVIOR
This study is an introduction to the patterns of human behavior, with special regard for the Christian world view.
BE-101 DEVELOPMENTAL BEHAVIOR
This study is a course designed for teachers, parents, and youth leaders to introduce them to the behavioral factors in the development of a person from birth to young adult, including the physical, moral, social, mental, and spiritual phases of life.
BE-102 ADOLESCENT BEHAVIOR
This study is a specialized study of the adolescent mind and temperament and how best to deal with the various problems of youth.
BE-103 LEADERSHIP
Biblical principles of leadership are learned. These principles are then illustrated by Biblical examples and through the lives of both current and past leaders.
BIBLE - BI
BI-101, 102 BIBLE DOCTRINES
The major doctrines of the Christian faith will be studied and demonstrated from the Scriptures. Two semesters.
BI-103 OLD TESTAMENT SURVEY
This is a survey study of the Old Testament with outlines, lectures, and discussions designed to give the student a working knowledge of the Old Testament.
BI-104 NEW TESTAMENT SURVEY
This course includes a brief study of the political, social, moral and religious backgrounds of the New Testament, and a survey of each book including authorship, date and occasion of writing, theme, and purpose.
BI-105 BIBLE STUDY METHODS
This study is an in-depth look at different methods of studying the Bible. Underlying philosophy, universal laws, and basic principles of interpretation will be studied.
BI -106 LIFE OF PAUL
This study is a look at the life of Paul with an emphasis on practical application and on missions.
BI-201 LIFE OF CHRIST
This study is a chronological study of the earthly life of Christ as set forth in the four Gospels. Special emphasis is given to the birth, baptism, temptation, transfiguration, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension of Christ.
BI-202 FEAR OF THE LORD
The foundational importance of the fear of the Lord will be given from the Bible and applied to daily life.
BI-203 CHRISTIAN EVIDENCES
This study is defense of the Christian faith against arguments aimed against it. It is a demonstration of the factualness of the Scriptures.
BI-300, 301 INSPIRATION OF SCRIPTURE
This study is a two semester detailed look at the Bible. The first semester focuses on doctrine, canonicity, principles of translation and the two textual families. The second semester focuses on the veracity of the King James Bible.
BI-302 THE HOLY SPIRIT
This study covers the person and work of the Holy Spirit in the OT, and the NT, including the Tribulation.
BI-303 BIBLICAL INTERPRETATION
This is a study of the methods and principles of Biblical interpretation giving particular attention to the nature and structure of Scripture, the unfolding character of revelation, prophecy, symbolism, and parables. Difficult passages and problem areas in interpretation are considered and explained.
BI-304 PRAYER
The purpose and mandate for prayer is studied. The prayers in the Bible are examined.
BIBLE EXEGESIS
Bible Exegesis is a concentrated study of a book of the Bible. Every four year Landmark Baptist College graduate will take 6 semesters (12hours) of Bible Exegesis. Different courses will be offered each year.
BI-305 GENESIS
This study is an introduction to Genesis and a survey of its contents with a concentrated exposition of specific passages.
BI-306 LIFE OF MOSES
This study is a look at the life of Moses with an emphasis on God's call, equipping, and leading the man of God. This course studies Exodus and Numbers.
BI-307 LEVITICUS
This study is a thorough treatment of Leviticus giving special attention to the Levitical laws, feasts, and practices contained therein and their fulfillment as realized in the New Testament.
BI-308 DEUTERONOMY
This is an introduction to Deuteronomy and a survey of its contents with a concentrated exposition of specific facts.
BI-309 JOSHUA
This is an introduction to Joshua and survey of its contents with a concentrated exposition of specific passages.
BI-310 JUDGES AND RUTH
This is an introduction to Judges and Ruth with a survey of their contents and a concentrated exposition of this pre-kingdom period of Israel's history.
BI -311 LIFE OF DAVID
This study will reveal God's power and direction in a man's life. The prophetic aspects of David's life will be seen. (I, II Samuel, I Chron.)
BI-312 HISTORY OF ISRAEL'S KINGS
The History of the kings of Israel will be studied. It will begin with the death of David and conclude with Cyrus' decree to restore Jerusalem. (I, II Kings, II Chronicles.)

The events chronicled through these books will be studied. Particular attention will be given to both Divine and human leadership.

ED-204 TESTS AND MEASUREMENTS
Creation, selection, use, and scoring of teacher made tests is studied. Achievement tests, statistics, aptitude, and personality tests are also covered in this course.
ED-207, 208 NEWSLETTER PRODUCTION
This is a study of the organization and production of a newsletter to include basic desktop publishing. This course is preparation for either advising or working on a newsletter staff.
ED-300 TEACHING ART
This study is a course designed to acquaint the school teacher with the materials, methods, and procedures for creative teaching of art in terms of the needs, interests, and abilities of each age group. Includes a brief study of the basic principles of art and art appreciation. Emphasis is on the teacher's own working experience with various media.

This course is of the basic principles, methods and philosophy of communicating the facts of history and the lessons to be learned from the study of history.

Student teaching is scheduled with the college administration and must be taken during the fourth year. The student spends a full semester observing and teaching under the supervision of a master classroom teacher.

MI-201 COMPARATIVE RELIGIONS
This is a study of other religions with the purpose of spelling out the falsity of the enemies of the Christian faith and the superiority of the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
MI-202 ANTHROPOLOGY
This is a study of various world cultures including cultural theory, customs, and religions. This course provides a better understanding of cultural needs.
MI-203 CULTS
Religious groups are studied which are marked with strong denials of the Biblical truths especially about Christ, His birth, His life, His death, His resurrection, and His coming again.
MI-204 DEPUTATION MINISTRY
A look is given at the procedures and principles for getting to the mission field using the deputation method.
MI-301 CROSS-CULTURAL MINISTRIES
An examination of the dynamics of church growth is done. The fundamentals of cross-cultural evangelism (missions), knowledge of how the church grows in the social structures of homogeneous population, and an emphasis on the application of this knowledge and these principles to evangelism and urban-church planting in the United States and around the world.

MUSIC - MU
MU-100 FUNDAMENTALS OF MUSIC
This is a review of rhythm, note reading, key signatures, time signatures, and various other rudiments of music. Required of students who do not pass the Music Theory Proficiency Exam (MTPE).
MU-101 MUSIC THEORY I
Prereq: MU-100 or successful completion of MTPE.
This course is foundational to the student's musical experience and understanding. The student will receive instruction in music fundamentals including: notation, major and minor keys, scales, intervals, chords, rhythm, ear training, figured bass, and part writing.
MU-102 MUSIC THEORY II
Prereq: MU-102
This course is a continuation of Music Theory I, with advanced instruction in instrumentation, chord progressions, four-part voice writing, cadences, musical forms, non-chord tones, modulation, secondary dominants, and simple musical forms .
MU-103 BASIC CHURCH MUSIC
Students are given a basic working knowledge of music fundamentals. They are taught to be aware of the place, principles, and practice of music in the church, while developing a working Biblical philosophy of church music.
MU-104 COLLEGE CHOIR
The college choir prepares songs for special music at Landmark Baptist Church each Wednesday evening. Students sharpen sight reading, communication, and choral singing skills while praising the Lord in song. This choir also performs a wide selection of vocal literature and performs for various occasions and choral concerts. Everyone is welcome to try out for the choir. Students enrolled in this class for credit are required to be at all performances.
MU-201 MUSIC HISTORY
This course is a survey of the major composers, their literature, and musical forms from past to present. The student will also learn from the master's of past and present sacred music. They will study the lives of composers, instructors, directors, and performers of both classical and sacred music.
MU-202 INSTRUMENTATION
Instrumentation is a general study of all the instruments necessary to make up an orchestra, including: strings, brass, woodwinds, percussions, and flute. A working knowledge of each instrument and light instruction in playing each instrument will be given in class.
MU-301 CONDUCTING
This course starts with the basic patterns and techniques for choral conducting and continues through instrumental conducting techniques. Students are given basic instruction and some practical experience in conducting choirs, ensembles, and orchestras.
MU-302 MUSIC COMPOSITION
This course covers the structure and form of music from early to more recent times. Students will learn vocal and instrumental arranging techniques for choir and orchestra. There will be an emphasis on originality in composition while maintaining fundamental standards.
MU-401 VOICE CLASS
Instruction is given in the basic fundamentals of singing technique. It will teach each student to reach his full potential.
MU-402 CHRISTIAN PHILOSOPHY OF MUSIC
Understanding philosophy is fundamental to success in any area of life. Studying the Philosophy of Christian Music will help the serious student make right decisions about music in church.

This course is intended to develop proficiency in a chosen instrument such as piano, flute, trumpet, clarinet, etc.
ORCHESTRA:
This course requires participation in the church orchestra as well as various other performances and events.
CHOIR:
This course requires participation in the college choir. Students enrolled in this class for credit are required to be at all performances.
ENSEMBLE:
This course is restricted to the chamber ensemble and representative tour ensemble members. Ensemble members prepare various selections of sacred music for presentation in Baptist churches and Christian Schools. Participation is required at all performance events. Inter-term and summer involvement is required for tour ensembles. Tour Ensemble members are given compensation toward their tuition and room fees.

This is a study of the various phases of evangelism: door to door, the altar, church programs evangelistically, etc. Importance is placed on the fact that every Christian should be a soulwinner.

This is a study of the bus pastor; bus workers; and how to start, maintain, and build routes.

A study of the ministry of the local church to teenagers and the roles of the youth pastor is done.

The techniques and styles of pulpit exhortation are studied. Outlining and organizational methods are explored. Types of sermons are studied.

The student will be given the opportunity to preach using several different types of sermons.

This is a study of the Earth, its present characteristics, and its history, as made evident by the Earth itself. Special emphasis will be given to the mechanisms and effects of the Great Flood of Genesis.
